I’m back again this week with another new pattern! The Pretty Zippy is my first small project pattern and I’m excited to be able to share it with you all today. PDF & paper patterns are available from my e‑shop and PDF versions are also available from my PayHip store. I’ve also listed the Pretty Zippy on Craftsy.
And, since this is my first accessory pattern I thought I’d offer the PDF pattern for sale at just $3.00 until the end of this month on Craftsy, PayHip and my e‑store. Cool, right!
The Pretty Zippy pattern includes easy to follow directions to make both the small (4″ x 6.5″) and large (4 3⁄4″ x 6.5″) pouches from just one fat eighth of feature print and one fat quarter of solid. They’re super fast to make and you don’t need a piping foot! The Pretty Zippy can be sewn from start to finish with the 1⁄4″ foot on your machine.
You can make one for yourself and one for a friend. Or you could keep both yourself!
The Pretty Zippy is addictive and I’m sure it won’t take long for you to have your own little collection of them.
For my own versions of the Pretty Zippy I used Liberty of London Tana Lawn in Ciara and Danjo and Moda Fabrics Tana Lawn collection Regent Street. I love the soft drapy feel of cotton lawn and found it really easy to work with but if you don’t have any on hand… no problem. The Pretty Zippy pattern will work just as well in any fabric.
Have fun sewing this quick project, I know you will love it!
These look so cute and fun to make. I love the piping detail on the edge and the funky zippers. Will make a fabulous gift set for Christmas!
These are so cute! I think this might be my first zipper project. Thanks for sharing!
These are gorgeous! I love the zippers, too. Would you mind sharing where you got them?
Hi Veronica, they are a bit tricky to find. I got these from a local wholesale supplier but… I’m working on getting on of the online fabric stores to stock them. If they so I will definitely let you know. XO
