Skipper Mini Quilt

Way back in February 2016 I wrote a post talking about how I was going to quilt through a book. The book I chose was Amber Johnson’s book Vintage Vibe. I had thought I would be further along with the quilts but I definitely haven’t given up. My latest project is a mini quilt I made recently using Amber’s Skipper quilt pattern.

Amber has been hosting a sew along for the Skipper quilt over on Instagram. It would have been awesome fun to join in and make a larger quilt but I knew I didn’t have time. My compromise was to make a mini quilt.

My friend Amy Sinibaldi designs beautiful fabric. Her collections are so delicate and pretty. Her Charleston fabric range is gorgeous and I thought it would be great for my Skipper mini quilt. I love how it looks with the navy accent pieces and binding.

I quilted this one with straight lines half an inch apart. It’s definitely my go to method of quilting mini quilts. It’s simple and it always looks great.

Have a great week,
