Bittersweet

Today I’m join­ing in with the Bit­ter­sweet fab­ric Blog Tour.    Bit­ter­sweet is Sue Daly’s new fab­ric col­lec­tion for Riley Blake Designs.    This fab­ric col­lec­tion is per­fect for fussy cut Eng­lish Paper Piecing pro­jects and has some pretty prints which are per­fect for blend­ing with solids and basics.

My present box is look­ing a little empty after a few birth­day party’s so I teamed one of the Lace prints up with some pink sol­id and La Creme dot to make a simple and sweet little pil­low and a coordin­at­ing pin cushion.

They were both quick to sew which is always a plus when mak­ing gifts and, no doubt, there’ll be anoth­er birth­day party invit­a­tion before I know it so the pil­low will be put to good use soon.   The pin cush­ion, well that’s just so cute I think I’ll keep it for myself!
