Thanks to everyone for their kind words of support and purchases earlier this week. As promised, I’m back to share the final three with you.
This is Alice. Alice is based on a traditional quilt block but includes updated piecing methods that are fast and fun and, a modern twist on the fabric placement with print and low volume backgrounds for the blocks! Alice is also fat quarter friendly and is perfect for using up some of the fabrics you have in your stash.
The sample quilt for the Alice quilt was made with Sherri & Chelsi’s new fabric collection Desert Bloom. Another one I fell in love with from the moment I saw it not least because itmatches my living room decor perfectly! The Desert Bloom fabric range will be available in stores November 2016.
I also had the pleasure of designing and sewing the Spring quilt with Shannon Gillman Orr’s debut collection, Acreage. There’s pink and teal so you know it’s a complete favourite around here!
Spring was inspired by traditional medallion quilts and a love of spring flowers. The centre block is a huge 30 inches and the whole quilt is made using simple piecing technics that make sewing it simple and fast. I think it would look just amazing in Anna Maria Horner or any medium scale fabrics you have in your stash.
Last but definitely not least is the Sweet Stars quilt. Sweet Stars is also fat quarterly friendly and is suitable for every level of quilter. The blocks aren’t too small which means there is no teeny piecing which can get a little tricky! All of my patterns come with full colour diagrams that are easy to follow and loads of instructions to help you through every step.
Sweet Stars was made with my friend Sedef from Down Grapevine Lane‘s debut line for Riley Blake, Sweet Orchard. It’s such a sweet fabric collection and it will be arriving in stores in August. Sweet Stars Quilt Kits will be available through the Fat Quarter Shop once the fabric hits stores and there will also be a sew along coming up!
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing these new patterns, its been fun to share them will you all and I’m looking forward to seeing your take on them.
Have a fabulous weekend,
